Theodosius
Sculpture, white Carrara marble, 2017
Work completed
In Theodosius, matter becomes thoughtful silence.
A sequence of planes, inclinations and cuts designs the space as if it were a score of light.
Each fragment reflects the other in a fragile and absolute balance, where the marble loses its weight and becomes time, waiting, suspension.
It is not a form, but a dialogue between presence and absence:
between the gesture that builds and the one that is silent.
Teodosio was born in this way - as an architectural thought that becomes sculpture,
like a measure of silence that can be touched.
